Use Of Quality Assured Logo

Quality Assured

Members are entitled to use the ‘Quality Assured-Ombudsman Backed’ Logo on: Business stationery, websites, emails, promotional literature, brochures, newspaper/ media advertisements, vehicles, windows, premises and signage. QAA can provide for members high quality logo’s in various formats i.e: PDF, Tiff, EPS and in Word. Logos can be sent directly to members or to a nominated printer on behalf of the member. QAA provides members with: small labels for stationery and vehicle and windows stickers in 3 different sizes. These can be used inside widows or externally on signs and notice boards and also on the outside of vehicles etc.

Artworks / logo’s can be forwarded to your printers /signwriters in various formats i.e: PDF, Tiff, EPS and in Word.

    How Members Should Use These Certificates:
    Members issue these Certificates to potential customers at the point of quotation. This Certificate is a major factor in helping members secure more orders.

    The Certificate is overprinted with the member’s details, membership number, dates of membership and Scope of Registration. It also displays the Membership Verification Telephone Advice Line giving potential customers the opportunity to verify membership and ask how members are vetted, current membership status and the protection afforded them.

    This Certificate has assisted many members in increasing their conversion rate when quoting to new potential clients. Many members have experienced regular conversion rates in excess of 80%+ when using the Certificate Of Quality Assurance when previously this may be been much nearer 20%.

    Consumers appreciate being given help to make sound decisions. We all want to know the supplier we are dealing with is competent, professional and has a good record of customer satisfaction. The existence of The QA Ombudsman also gives customers a great deal of confidence and peace of mind.

    Members issue these to potential customers at the point of quotation. This is a full colour mini brochure which gives consumers more information on QAA, benefits to customers, vetting processes and displays the Membership Verification Telephone Advice Line giving potential customers the opportunity to verify membership, ask how members are vetted, current membership status and the protection afforded them.

    These are very professionally presented full colour folders. These are designed to help members present their quotation to customers in a professional manner. It has a large A4 pocket where members can insert their written quote, product information, specifications, copy guarantees etc. The folder is printed inside and out in full colour. It also explains the benefits to customers when choosing a QAA member and offers customers the opportunity to call QAA staff and verify membership, ask how members are vetted, current membership status and the protection afforded them.

    This is a well presented annual certificate with gold foil emblem and signed by The Chief Executive of QAA.

    These are designed for display in the members’ business premises such as in the reception area and/or in presentation folders.

    Members will be provided with one of theses Membership Certificates at the outset of membership and a new one will be sent annually thereafter. Additional copies can be ordered by emailing QAA with the Enquiry Form or by telephoning 01257-270700.

    These leaflets explain in detail how insurance backed guarantees and deposit protection schemes usually work. They give consumers information on the benefits and exclusions usually associated with this type of insurance policy. It also explain to consumers that QAA members have access to these facilities and therefore consumers will have additional protection in place if they chose to use a QAA member for any work/contracts they are considering having carried out.

Customers sometimes want independent assurance that a supplier is of good standing and has a professional reputation.

Many consumers are aware of some of the problems that can occur when choosing suppliers unknown to them and are understandably cautious.

The Consumer Advice line is: 01257-270701 and is available to anyone seeking information about members and advice before placing contracts and orders.

Customers can also call this number for advice if they have a dispute or complaint about a QAA member they would like investigating.

Free Credit Checking

QAA Members can benefit from the most up to date credit information available today.

We have a group scheme negotiated on behalf of QAA members. QAA will give a number of credit checks and reports away Free Of Charge each membership year to each member. The quantity of these free reports will be negotiated at the outset of membership.

When the free allocation has been used up by the member, the member then pays a small fee per report (this is a group rate and substantially reduced from the normal market price).

The type of information available to QAA members:

  • Date of establishment of a business or organisation
  • Details of any county court judgments
  • Names (and addresses) of directors
  • Details of other directorships held by these directors
  • Latest accounts
  • Credit Score and Credit Limits
  • Financial Strength of business
  • Company Shareholders report
  • Details of Mortgages and Charges on the business

QAA staff pride themselves on having a very effective debt collection system for members and have a success rate in excess of 85%.

The debt collection system has 4 steps:

  1. The member sends the customer/debtor a Reminder Letter or Statement with a QAA Overdue Account Label attached. This usually has the desired effect and the debtor pays the member.
  2. If the debt remains outstanding the member contacts QAA staff to discuss. The usual action at this stage is for QAA to send a first stage mildly worded Debt Collection Letter to the customer stating that QAA are acting on instructions from our member and are now commissioned to collect the debt.
  3. If this letter is ignored and the debt still remains outstanding QAA staff will the send out a Court Warning Notice to the debtor. This is a strongly worded letter stating that the debtor should now clear the debt in order to stop legal proceeding / or collections proceedings taking place which would incur further cost to the debtor.
  4. If payment has still not been received QAA usually recommend the services of an Approved Supply Partner. Currently we recommend a collection company that actually make telephone calls and visits the debtor to arrange recovery. This has proven the most successful way to collect debts. It is very easy to ignore a letter but very difficult to ignore a person knocking at the door or sat in reception.

This entire process has a success ratio in excess of 85% and is an excellent and cost effective way to help cash flow and prevent late payments turning into bad debts.

Steps 1, 2 and 3 are entirely FREE to members. Step 4 may incur the member with some fees direct form our Approved Supply Partner. Any fees for step 4 will be discussed and agreed at the outset of this part of the process between the member and the Approved Supply Partner.

QAA has negotiated a Free Legal Advice, Employment Law Advice and Health & Safety Advice Services on behalf of members.

Our chosen Approved Supply Partner offering this service is Davis Blank Furniss.

They have an enviable reputation, work for many small and medium sized businesses as well as national and public sector organisations.

They have been established since 1877, have teams of specialist advisors in various disciplines and therefore have the resources to support QAA members.
