Choosing a Supplier with Confidence
All members must pass stringent vetting procedures before acceptance into the QAA, involving the provision of excellent trade and customer references, full and detailed background information including credit checks and carry up to date public liability insurances.
All members must sign the Quality Assurance Charter agreeing to abide by any decision of the Quality Assurance Ombudsman in the event of any complaints being referred to him.
In the unlikely event of a complaint, QAA can investigate the problem and appoint a mediator/conciliator. If the complaint cannot be resolved at this level, the mediator/ conciliator may decide it prudent to offer both parties the availability of an Independent Inspection to help bring the matter to a close. At any time in this process the consumer can request that the complaint be referred to the QA Ombudsman for formal investigation. The Ombudsman has extensive powers of investigation and his decisions are legally binding and enforceable.

Most members will be able to give you a written guarantee on their work.
QAA members can offer deposit protection insurance (DPI) and an Insurance Backed Guarantee (IBG). Please be sure to request this if it is something you want in place.
DPI and IBG's provide additional peace of mind should the contractor no longer be in a position to honour their original guarantee or return a customer's deposit due to cessation of trading. QAA Accredited Insurance providers conform to all standards and guidelines set by various governing bodies including the FSA and are H.M Treasury regulated.
Therefore, as a customer, you can feel confident in awarding your contract or order to a QAA registered member.
